Nibley City Recreation offers a fitness program called Nibley Fit, available to anyone interested in attending. These group fitness classes include Yoga, HIIT, and HIGH fitness routines. The classes are taught by highly qualified fitness instructors and are held in the community center at Nibley City Hall (455 W 3200 S Nibley, UT)

Classes available to participants 14 years old and up.
HIGH: this fitness routine is an interval training class that includes an easy to follow routine choreographed to music. It combines a fun interval workout with an intensity level you set for maximum fitness results! This amazing new fitness format offers a high caloric burn through cardio peaks along with full-body toning! Get addicted to being fit while having fun sculpting your body, building strength, and endurance.
HIIT: looking for a fun and effecient full body workout at your pace try HIIT, also referred as TABATA after fitness scientist/researcher Dr. Izumi Tabata. HIIT is short for: High Intensity Interval Training and includes alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense active recovery. Extensive research by Tabata and others have proven both the effectiveness and efficiency of interval training with reliable positive results for improving athletic capacity and conditioning in a shorter time frame. Benefiting both aerobic and anaerobic systems HIIT workouts have endless possibilities and exciting variety to keep you interested and challenge you to go to the next level at a pace you personally set.
Yoga: Ease the stress of your day by using dynamic breathing and strong flowing movements for greater strength, flexibility, and range of motion. Hatha yoga is a balanced combination of sustained poses with attention to basic alignment, mindfulness, and breathing to create a trans-formative and balancing effect of mind and body. Our yoga class will continuously evolve as our skilled instructors explore the needs and interests of class participants. They may also weave together wisdom teachings, poetry and music to inspire physical, energetic, mental, intuitive, and pure bliss states of consciousness. Some outdoor yoga classes will be available at the Nibley Park amphitheatre note class location on the Nibley Fit Calendar and Facebook posts.

Marianne has had a love for fitness all of her life. Early on she developed a passion for competitive team sports and endurance races, competing in many marathons and triathlons. Through college classes she was introduced to group fitness, which instantly became her new passion. She graduated with a degree in Health Education and has been instructing HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) for 4 years. Marianne has been certified as a Primary Group Instructor through AFAA. She has found that exercising not only strengthens the body, but also the mind and the spirit. She lives her life with the belief that being fit is about having fun while striving to be stronger than you were yesterday. Marianne’s passion for exercise has also let her gain new friendships through her community.
Karlene loves feeling fit and sharing her enthusiasm for a healthy lifestyle with everyone. Knowing that variety is the spice of life, she brings a lot of fun creative workouts to class including holiday themes and modifications to fit every participants comfort level.
Cammy discovered the multiple benefits of yoga in 2012 under the direction of a talented and mindful yoga teacher. With her B.S. degree in Exercise Science and Health Education from Utah State University, she realized the profound and far reaching effects yoga can have on a person’s health and wellness. It re-awakened the mind-body connection in her and has positively affected every aspect of her life, including injury rehabilitation and prevention. She is the wife of a yoga enthusiast and has witnessed the solid therapeutic effects that have benefitted him, as well as countless others. Cammy has focused her time and energy raising her 6 children and recently decided to build on her background with a 200 hour YTT certification from Yoga Assets in SLC, UT under the direction of Denise Druce. Cammy is registered with Yoga Alliance, and is also a Certified Group Fitness Instructor that connects easily with all participants. Cammy is excited to share the benefits of yoga with the citizens of Nibley City! Her goal is to create a warm, relaxed and fun environment in her vinyasa style yoga classes that challenge and relax the body and de-stress the mind. She loves to encourage people from all walks of life in their quest to take charge and improve their health.
Shaeli grew a love for group fitness as a child by attending classes with her mom and sisters. As she grew older she found a love for sports and dance. Throughout college she continued to be involved in group fitness and Latin dancing while studying business. After graduating with a BS from USU, she was married and quickly had four children. As she continued to stay active with her children, she decided to go back to something she has always loved- group fitness. Shaeli is now certified in HIGH and Primary Group Fitness through AFAA. Shaeli has personally learned how exercise and staying active is key to healthy pregnancies and postpartum, both physically and mentally. She also loves people and the friendships she has made through the Nibley Fit community.
