Planning and Zoning Commission meetings are normally held the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 5:30 p.m.   A 2017 meeting schedule may be found here.  All application must be submitted at least two weeks before a scheduled meeting and must be in compliance with Nibley City Code in order to be placed on the agenda.

Impact Fees

What are impact fees?

Impact fees are one-time charges imposed by local governments to mitigate the impact new development has on local infrastructure.  Residential and business growth requires the City to expand or enlarge our public facilities to maintain the level and quality of service we provide through our water, sewer, parks and road systems.  New growth pays for that expansion and enlargement so that all residents can benefit from our facilities and services. 

 

When does Nibley City charge impact fees?

Nibley City charges impact fees upon issuance of a building permit for new residential, commercial or industrial construction.  Impact fees are not charged for remodels, accessory buildings or additions, unless the addition is large enough to necessitate changing the size of the water meter.

What are the other fees on my building permit?

In addition to impact fees, building permits will have the following fees:

-Deposit: $1,000 (refundable upon completion of construction, minus any fees for building infractions)

-Water Meter: $700

-Stormwater: $50

-Permit/Plan Check Fee: Varies (approximately $1/square foot of the main level, not including the garage)
