PARKS, TRAILS, AND RECREATION MASTER PLAN

Nibley City is continuing the effort to update the Parks, Trails, and Recreation Master Plan. A public survey was conducted during the summer of 2009.  Information on the survey can be found at www.nibleyparksblogspot.com.

The site also contains an interactive map of Nibley City Parks.  Just click on the link to the "Master Plan Update" from the blog page to view the parks.  The Google Earth Plugin is needed to view the parks and can be downloaded from the site.

Through this process, we hope to have information on park locations and descriptions for our Parks and Recreation webpage soon.

MOVIES IN THE PARK

Mark Your Calendar!
Several FREE movies have been scheduled at the park on 3200 South this summer. The dates are Monday, July 19 (Tooth Fairy) and Saturday, August 21. Movies start at dusk. For more information, contact Casey Judd at 787-8395 or casey.judd@usu.edu.

BOYS' BASEBALL

Baseball teams have been organized for the 2010 season.  Teams, coaches, and practice/game calendars can be viewed by clicking on the appropriate link below.

Pony         Majors          Minors         Rookies         T-Ball

If you have questions regarding baseball, contact Phil Takis, Nibley City Baseball Coordinator (435-753-9670 or xxrg@hotmail.com.

GAME STATUS DUE TO WEATHER:
Game cancellations will be posted as soon as they are known.  Cities render field decisions around 3 p.m.  If you do  not see a posting about your game by 4 p.m., then it is a game time decision between the
coaches and the umpire.

PARKING AT THE NIBLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
The Nibley Elementary school has let the city know that they are frustrated with people parking in the fire zone during tee ball games and apparently they said people have even been driving on the grass behind the school as well. Last night they sent a police officer out just to give people warnings, but they have threatened to not let us use this field if it continues. You all know we can’t afford to lose any field space so please do all you can to let parents both within Nibley and visiting cities know not to park in the fire zone area (it’s marked with signs) and to stay off of the
grass with vehicles.
